Description

UW-Madison's AERA Division G Student Interest Group and The Network are presenting an opportunity for people to listen to five education graduate student share an EdTalk about their research pertaining to the social context of education. It will be an evening of networking, learning, and sharing ideas across the school of education.

Division G, The Social Context of Education, is one of the 12 divisions of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). The Division G Student Interest Group is new to UW-Madison this year.

Graduate Student presenters are:

• Laura C. Chávez-Moreno, Curriculum & Instruction, "Constructing and Resisting Dual Language Immersion and Biliteracy as White Property: A Critical Race Ethnography Examining Bilingual Education in a New Latino Destination."

• Alie Kriofske Mainella, Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education, "Consent and Disability."

• Brett Ranon Nachman, Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, "How do 2-year College Websites Depict Autism? A Content Analysis."

• Jessica McQueston, Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education, "Ask Yourself: Promoting Access to the General Literacy Curriculum."

• Emily Brinck, Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education, "Providing Support Services Through Interagency Collaboration During the Transition Process for Youth with Disabilities."
