Brownbag Information Session on Secondary Education Program

This informational brown bag will be led by Li-Ching Ho, an associate professor with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Students who complete the secondary education program earn a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction, with certification to teach in specified subject area(s) in high school and/or middle school, and in English as a Second Language.

Description

Li-Ching Ho, an associate professor with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, is hosting an informational brown bag to let students know more about UW-Madison's secondary education master’s degree program for teachers.

This program consists of an intensive sequence of courses that span two summers and an intervening academic year. Throughout the program, students take university courses and engage in fieldwork associated with those courses. In addition to course and fieldwork, students must complete a master’s project in order to receive their degree.

Upon completion of the program, students will have earned a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction, with certification in English as a Second Language and to teach in specified subject area(s) in high school and/or middle school.
