Batuhan Aydagül is an educational practitioner, policy analyst, and scholar with twenty-five years of experience across schools, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and governmental agencies in different geographies. Before starting his doctorate studies, Batuhan was the director of the Education Reform Initiative (ERI), a Turkish non-governmental think-and-do-tank in education. He is still advising the Teacher Network in Turkey, an ecosystem of solidarity and cooperation among and with teachers. Batuhan holds a B.A. in Business from Marmara University in Turkey and M.A. in International Education Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University in the US.
Batuhan’s research interests involve critical policy analysis of K-12 and higher education policies focusing on the interplay between state and educational institutions. His dissertation research looks at how flagship public institutions in Turkey and Wisconsin navigate right-wing higher education politics.
