
Aaron Adan Aguilar is a Ph.D. student in Education Policy Studies. He is primarily interested in examining the dynamics in and around diverse schools that perpetuate racial and economic inequality. Born and raised in Texas, he earned a B.A. in English & Drama from Trinity University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Christian University.
Aaron was a public educator for 7 years in Dallas ISD. He taught middle and high school English and served as an AVID Coordinator, an Instructional Lead Teacher, a Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) Chair, and a Campus Academic Coordinator. He grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, home to Freddy Fender and the best breakfast tacos in Texas.
