Bill Gibson taught a variety of global and area studies courses at a public high school for 22 years. His specialty is the history of political violence and human rights. He is a strong advocate of the Wisconsin Idea and worked closely with UW-Madison to strengthen the connection between the university and the community. These include Great World Texts, First Wave, and Sin Fronteras. He has presented at numerous UW hosted teaching workshops and has enjoyed collaborating with the university’s regional studies departments to promote global education and citizenship.
