John Baldacchino

Dr. John Baldacchino specializes in art, philosophy and education. He is Professor of Arts Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he also served as Director of the Division of the Arts between 2016 and 2019. Prior to UW-Madison he served as Chair of Arts Education at the University of Dundee; as Associate Dean & Professor at Falmouth University in England; as Associate Professor at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York; as Reader at Gray’s School of Art in Scotland; and as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Warwick University in England. He is the author of Educing Ivan Illich, Reform, Contingency and Disestablishment. (Peter Lang) and editor of The Bloomsbury Handbook of Continental Philosophy of Education, among other books.
